Flip the Bird
Here's another Flight of the Conchords clip, taken from the same episode as the previous post.
Albi the Dragon
Yes, its an oldish clip but I'm re-watching the excellent 'Flight of the Conchords' at the moment and forgot all about this.
The two New Zealanders have recently released their first full album. From the look of the track listing its made up with the songs from the radio/TV show which is certainly no bad thing although brand new songs would have been great, I'm guessing those will come with the second TV series.
Here's another clip, YouTube has all of the music videos from the show.

Zombie Strippers (2008)
Jumping on the Grindhouse band wagon heres the latest budget horror 'Zombie Strippers'.
Robert Englund and Jenna Jameson star. Could this be as "great" as last years 'Flight of the Living Dead'? There's only one way to find out...
"...to the DVD bargain bin!"

Clarkson driving the Peel
Here's a really funny clip taken from last nights (repeated) episode of Top Gear. It features the very tall Jeremy Clarkson driving around in the worlds smallest car. Its absolutely brilliant!

(Captain) America, F**K Yeah!
I just stumbled across this funny video whilst surfing YouTube. Its made using clips from the (awful) Captain America film made in 1990 and the theme to the brilliant Team America: World Police.
A new adaptation of Captain America is planned for a 2009 release, no information about who's playing the lead is available at the moment though.

Tropic Thunder (2008)
Tropic Thunder, directed and staring Ben Stiller (amongst loads of other famous actors) is apparently the biggest budget comedy ever made according to my friend Bazza.
This looks like it has all the ingredients to become a winner!

Toei Spider-Man
Here's the titles for the little known seventies Japanese Spider-Man (a.k.a 'Toei no Supaidâ-Man') series. Made by the Toei film studios famous for pioneering giant kung-fu fighting robot transformations seen in shows such as Power Rangers.
Fully endorsed by Stan Lee at Marvel, this series saw quite a different Spider-Man to the one seen in the comics and cartoons, mostly due to the toy company Bandai sponsoring the show. This Spider-Man wouldn't always be climbing walls and shooting web at villains, this version drives around in a Spidey-Car and fights weird looking Ninjas on a mostly flat surface judging from the clips I've seen on YouTube. Oh, and he can summon a giant flying Spidey-Robot (known as Mabera) to use in battle!

Up until seeing these clips I wondered why in comic shops (such as Forbidden Planet in London) toys such as the Spidey-Car and other vehicles were available, the US version never needed transportation.
Its had a limited DVD release in Japan but if you want it be prepared to spend a load of money (well over £200). Pirate versions can be found on the web and some episodes are available to download via torrent sites like Mininova (I'm currently downloading an episode).
UPDATE
I've now watched a full episode. Its really funny especially when Takuya (the Japanese equivalent to Peter Parker) transforms into Spidey. The suit is summoned via his wrist band communicator and out from nowhere a very flat, almost paper thin cut-out of Spider-man floats in front, one quick zip and Spider-man is complete.
No subtitles or Japanese language skills are required to enjoy this as the story is very easy to follow.

Ghostbusters 3???

As IGN report, this poster was seen at a recent convention in San Francisco. What does it mean? Is it to promote the forthcoming Ghostbusters video game or the release of the two films on UMD & Blu-Ray? Is it a teaser for a possible 3rd film?
Watch this space!
Here's some footage from the new video game, available at the end of the year if things go to plan.

Knight Rider Movie - on NBC tonight!
The brand new pilot movie for Knight Rider is finally here. Hopefully this will be streamed onto Stage6 in the next few days, it looks pretty good from the clip although Will Arnett's voice is still featured as KITT (now known as the Knight Industries Three Thousand), Val Kilmer has now replaced him.

Whiplash The Cowboy Monkey
Whiplash has got to be the coolest monkey ever! From the looks of it the dogs doing all the work and the monkeys just strapped to its back, just going mental. The illusion is a good one if thats true.

I hope there's another monkey like this so they could get together, in miniature suits of armour and have a medieval monkey jousting session. I'd buy a ticket!

NY police find 'cashback' corpse

The sight of two men pushing a partially-dressed, pale, stiff body on an office chair raised the suspicions of a passing policeman.
Detective Travis Rapp arrested David Dalaia and James O'Hare, both 65.
The dead man, Virgilio Cintron, 66, is believed to have died in the previous 24 hours, the Associated Press reports.
A post mortem is said to have proved inconclusive.
Mr Dalaia and Mr O'Hare are said to have expressed surprise when paramedics told them Mr Cintron was dead.
'Very dead'
They reportedly tried to cash the $355 (£181) cheque on Tuesday, but were told by a clerk that Mr Cintron had to be present.
They returned to the flat that one of them shared with Mr Cintron and partially dressed the corpse before loading it into a chair and wheeling it back to the shop, police said.
Passers-by watched as they left the body outside the shop and went in to cash the cheque.
The clerk again insisted Mr Cintron had to be with them and as they returned to fetch him, they were stopped by Detective Rapp.
The officer said he thought the figure was a mannequin or a dummy at first.
"I thought it was a joke, honestly," he told AP.
One onlooker was not so sure.
"I saw this guy sitting in this chair with his head back," restaurant worker Victor Rodriguez, 38, told AP.
"He looked very dead. He looked very sick. His eyes were closed. He wasn't moving."
Story taken from BBC NEWS; 10/01/2008
Studios are already in negotiation for the rights to produce this into the 3rd installment of the 'Weekend at Bernie's' series... just kidding, but then again...

The Dark Knight (2008)
No doubt, this will be the best superhero film of 2008! Can't wait to see it.
And here's a new on screen interpretation they shouldn't have bothered with... Aquaman, probably one of the worst superhero's ever created. Notice the Batman music in the background at the start, the cheek of it!

Here's the second trailer. Looks like a worthy contender for 2008's 'Best Use of Jam' award!

Speed Racer (2008)
The latest movie from the Wachowski brothers (of Matrix fame). This is a live action adaptation of the original 60's Japanese anime of the same name.

Aliens Vs. Preadtor: Requiem (2007)
Aliens V. Predator: Requiem (a.k.a AvPr) looks pretty good from the trailer although I seem to remember the first AvP having a similar appeal until watching the film and realizing it was made by an over exited five year old, high on e-numbers (otherwise known as Paul W.S. Anderson!). This film however is directed by a couple of brothers (Colin & Gregg Strause) who were behind some of the great visual effects seen in 300 so I'll give it a chance.

Plane Dead (2007)
'Plane Dead' (a.k.a. Flight of the Living Dead) looks even dumber than the Samuel L. Jackson film, 'Snakes on a Plane' (although for arguments sake, "Snakes" was pretty enjoyable).
I'm sure I'll probably end up watching it!

Untitled J.J. Abrams Project

From the look of the trailer (see below) it's fairly obvious to say this will be a giant monster movie. A lot of people are asking what kind of giant monster will it be? Is this a new Godzilla film? If not, why isn't it a new Godzilla film?
(The last question was mine, I'm a bit of a Godzilla fan at heart!)
The trailer looks really interesting. The film is released stateside on the 18th of January, 2008.
